Sky school is a challenge to design a modern day school up to class X for 1200 students with all facilities.
The project is an attempt to solve the complex problem of an urban school site in the midst of a residential zone with a very high land value as well as a high F.A.R. The resultant solution thus devised was to build a structure that would go to vertically up to G+3 levels in order to achieve the same. But the focus was to retain ample playgrounds and a strong connection to the land at the ground level and to the exteriors on the upper levels by creating a number of interstitial spaces. Furthermore, the school was conceptualized to be built in three phases as a mutual decision between the architect and the client.
