The principal architect, Aman Aggarwal, Graduated from Chandigarh College of Architecture and trained under Ar. B.V. Doshi, started his own practice, Charged Voids, in 2007. The firm has expanded from two people to fifteen people who come from varied design backgrounds. The firm was established to continue the search for creating a transcendent and spiritual character in architecture. The endeavor is to build timeless architecture that is a reflection of our time yet rooted in our heritage, not also in its visual appeal and materiality but also in its knowledge of elements of nature and response to climate. The practice is just a means to search for that sutra of continuity that could bind our rich and glorious past and the beads of the future. The architecture is conceived as a sculptural composition defined by a few powerful strokes, resulting in simple & bold built forms.
