Contemporary designed interior ‘L’ House
The house can be defined in three words, splendour, minimalism and simplicity. Located within 4,085 sq. ft. of plot, the residence of Anand & Prachi Shah is a simple example of contemporary design. The client had a basic requirement for a 4-bedroom house.Which gave a free hand to explore the creativity and challenge.
The structure is supported by a stark, bold concrete wallwith magnificent texture at the beginning of the house forming the front facade. As we enter, the house welcomes to the living area which offers a scenic view of the adjacent garden. The flooring is all pure and clean with the greekthassos white marble as per the client’s affinity towards white. The bare concrete wall and minimal colors used for the furniture inside, blends well to create a magnificent environment. The staircase acts as a buffer for private and semi private spaces abutting the living room and the parents’ bedroom.
The dining room has white elements as onyx for the table and German silver enhancing the wall. The garden seems like a part of the house from the dining and kitchen with a basic glass as a solid partition between them. The journey in the house leading through to the backyard is fluid and swift which also ends with a R.C.C. wall. Both of these R.C.C. walls feature texture as corrugations and rise higher up than the other walls and parapet.
